Ultimate Bravery is the ultimate cure for a boring queue. You randomize your champion, your summoner spells, your ability order and your entire item build — then you commit to the chaos and play to win. This guide covers the full ruleset, the best variants to try, how to generate everything in one click, and why a mode this silly quietly makes you a better player.
What is Ultimate Bravery?
Ultimate Bravery is a self-imposed League of Legends challenge with one gloriously stupid premise: you randomize everything — champion, summoner spells, ability order and your entire item build — then you commit to it completely and play to win. It was born years ago in the League community as a way to turn a stale ranked grind into pure, unpredictable fun.
The "bravery" is the whole point. Your build will make no sense: attack speed items on a mage, full tank on an assassin. The rule is that you own it — you never dodge, you never run from a fight, and you try to win anyway. Chaos with commitment: that is Ultimate Bravery.
The official rules
The classic ruleset has been passed around the community for years. Here is the standard version:
- Random champion — you play whatever comes up, in whatever role it lands.
- Random summoner spells — two different ones, chosen at random (yes, even Teleport + Clarity).
- Random ability to max first — you follow that skill order no matter how bad it is.
- A random 6-item build — pulled from the entire item list, with no restrictions. Cursed combinations are the point.
- Buy the items in the order they were rolled — no skipping ahead to the "good" one.
- Play to win — this is not a troll or an AFK. You try your hardest with the build you were given.
- Never back down — take every fight you reasonably can. Bravery over sense.
Generate everything in one click
The old way was a spreadsheet, a dice roller and a lot of copy-pasting. You do not need any of that. RandomPick rolls a random champion and a random build for you instantly — the champion picker plus the build randomizer give you the whole Ultimate Bravery setup in a couple of clicks.
Spin for your champion, generate a chaotic build to go with it, and you are ready to queue. No setup, no maths — just hit the button and accept your fate.
The rule that matters most: commit
Ultimate Bravery lives or dies on one rule: you commit. The moment you start "fixing" the build or dodging fights because it feels bad, you are just playing a worse normal game. The fun — and the growth — comes from making the cursed build work.
So lean in. Build the nonsense in order, max the wrong ability, and throw yourself into every skirmish. Half the highlight-reel moments in League come from a full-lethality Soraka somehow getting a pentakill because nobody expected it.
Any champion, any build
That is the beauty of it — literally any champion can come up, and the more unexpected, the better the story. A tank Teemo, a full-AD Soraka, a crit Yuumi: these are the runs people remember.
Open any of the champions above to see their kit, then imagine it with a random build bolted on. That gap between what a champion is supposed to do and what your build forces you to do is exactly where Ultimate Bravery gets fun.
Ultimate Bravery variants

Once you have the basics down, mix it up. For a five-player run, RandomPick’s random team generator rolls all five champions at once — lock the ones you like, reroll the rest, and share the comp so everyone knows their cursed pick before you queue.
- 5-man Ultimate Bravery — the best version. Get four friends, everyone rolls their own chaos, and you queue as a full premade. Pure comedy.
- ARAM Ultimate Bravery — the random champion is already handled by ARAM, so just randomize the build and skill order on top.
- Hardcore mode — no defensive items allowed in the roll, or you must finish the whole build before you are allowed to back.
- Role-lock — roll the champion but force it into a fixed role (e.g. everything goes support) for extra suffering.
Why it actually makes you better
It sounds like pure meme content, but Ultimate Bravery quietly teaches you things a comfort pick never will. You end up buying items you have never touched, so you learn what they actually do. You pilot champions you would never pick, so your champion knowledge widens fast.
And because the stakes are a joke, you experiment freely — new positioning, weird all-ins, greedy plays — without the ranked anxiety. Players almost always come back to their main sharper, and a lot less tilted.
Quick-start checklist
Ready to embrace the chaos? Here is the whole thing in five steps:
- Roll a random champion (and take whatever role it lands in).
- Roll two different summoner spells.
- Roll a random ability to max and a random 6-item build.
- Buy the build in order — no cheating toward the good items.
- Commit completely: play to win, and never run from a fight.
