Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 15, 2026
Introduction
Your privacy matters. This Privacy Policy explains what information RandomPick collects when you use the website, how it is used, and the choices you have. RandomPick is a free, fan-made project with no user accounts, no sign-up and no forms.
Information We Collect
Because there is no account or form, we do not ask you for personal details. Two kinds of information are nonetheless involved when you visit:
Analytics data (via Google Analytics). To understand how the site is used, we use Google Analytics, a service provided by Google. It collects technical and usage information such as browser type, device and operating system, approximate location, pages visited, referring website, and date and time of access. This data is aggregated and does not personally identify you. Google Analytics runs in a privacy-preserving consent mode: by default — including if you decline — it operates without cookies and only records anonymous, aggregated measurements. Cookie-based analytics are enabled only if you accept via the cookie banner.
Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting server may automatically record standard technical log data (including your IP address) for security and reliability.
On-Device Storage
Some information is stored only in your browser, on your device, and is never transmitted to us:
- Your language preference, so the site opens in your chosen language.
- Your recent picks history, shown in the sidebar.
You can remove this at any time by clearing your browser data.
Cookies
RandomPick uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies:
- locale — first-party, functional. Remembers your chosen language (about one year).
- _ga / _ga_* — set by Google Analytics for anonymous, aggregated traffic statistics (up to about two years). These are set only if you accept; if you decline, analytics runs without them.
- Local storage (recent picks) — stores your recent picks on your device only.
You can refuse or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking analytics cookies will not affect the core functionality of the site.
How We Use Information
- Measure and improve website performance and content
- Analyze anonymous, aggregated traffic
- Detect abuse and maintain security
- Remember your preferences, such as language
- Keep the website functioning
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. Data may be processed only by the third-party providers necessary to run the website — currently our hosting provider and Google Analytics. Google processes analytics data under its own Privacy Policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Data Retention
Information is kept only for as long as necessary for the purposes described above. Google Analytics data is retained according to Google's settings as aggregated statistics. On-device storage remains until you clear your browser data.
Your Rights
Depending on your location — for example in the EEA or the UK under the GDPR — you may have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Request correction
- Request deletion
- Restrict processing
- Object to processing
- Request data portability
To exercise any of these rights, contact contact@randompick.gg.
Data Security
Reasonable technical and organizational measures are implemented to protect collected information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Children's Privacy
RandomPick is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your country) and does not knowingly collect their personal data.
Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest version, and changes become effective as soon as they are published.
